I just recieved Tara's cookbook. It has rekindled my love for these dishes. Last night, I made chicken cacciatore and asparagus swizle sticks. They were both easy and delicious. I prepared the dishes so they would be ready at 7, but my husband worked late and didn't come home until after 9. At 8, the chicken was still hot. I put it back in the oven to warm, but the dishes really do keep hot things hot. The chicken was "pan fried" in the oven, which i've never done before and it worked really well. The food looked great and tasted great.

Tonight, I made the pesto salmon for DH (I don't eat seafood) and the mac and cheese. He loved the salmon. It was really quick and VERY easy. It will be added to our normal rotation. The mac and cheese was ok. Not sure what happened but I don't think I did it quite right. I halved the recipe and don't think I followed the measurments exactly. Everyone raves about her mac and cheese recipe, so I'll give it another shot. When I went to clean the mac and cheese dish, the baked-on cheese came RIGHT off with the swipe of a sponge. No scrubbing necessary.
