I grew up learning to cook in the old copper bottomed Revere Ware, and that is what I bought over 30 years ago and have used all that time. I have purchased a few pieces of Cooks Essentials nonstick in various lines, and all if it fails within a couple of years.I was at an auction and picked up an older but great condition set of Farberware stainless steel for my son when he moves out. When I brought it home and cleaned it up, I decided to use it for a few days and see how I liked it. Loved it! seemed to perform better than my Revere. It seems to be heavier and not stick as easily (and most of my Revere is the much older heavier stuff, not the thin stuff they sell now).
Looking to see what you all think of the two brands, especially if you have used the older stuff. Do you have a favorite and why? Has anyone bought any new Farberware stainless, where did you find it (not on line, but somewhere that you can handle it and feel it, and how is it compared to the old stuff?
Thanks for your input!
