I decided to make the imitation White Castle burgers (the recipe is floating around on this board) today. It couldn't have been easier and they came out very good.
When I was at the grocery store (ShopRite in NJ) I picked up a package of ground beef and read the label and it said Made in U.S., Mexico and Canada. What does that mean? A little bit of the cow comes from each country?? I was so disgusted I put it back. I didn't see any organic/natural selection so I bought Kosher beef. I don't buy beef that much and, to be honest, sometimes I just don't look carefully at labels. Am I crazy for thinking my beef should come from this country? Thanks for any info on subject.
By the way, for those who buy beef more often than I do, do you have a favorite store you buy it from? I'm lucky because NJ has a lot of grocery stores to choose from.
