In addition to the many things listed above, I like to add black olives ... but NEVER put raw onion in anything.

Typically a mix of baby spring mix/butter lettuce/red butter lettuce plus cucumber, radish, chick peas, red pepper, kalamata olives, hearts of palm, artichoke hearts and sometimes mushrooms, jicama, red beets, avocado. I also throw in either grated parmesean cheese or feta cheese. Occasionally for some crunch I'll throw in some croutons or oven baked cheese bites (get this from Trader Joe's).
I mostly use olive oil and vinegar as a dressing but a variety of specialty balsamic vinegars. Currently: Lemon, Cranberry Pear, Fig, Pomegranate.

I use my food processor and make a large tub of salad about twice a week. Then it's always at the ready for serving.
I add many types ( at least three different) of colorful lettuce, shredded cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, radishes and celery.
Before serving, I add cucumbers and tomatoes to the mix while it's in the individual serving bowls. I don't add them to the tub because they're wet and make the lettuce go bad quickly.
Also, sometimes I might add cheese, olives and onions. I always have blue cheese dressing for myself and make Italian dressing for others.
If I have fresh cauliflower or broccoli, I might put that in too. Last week I only had one ear of corn, so I cut the corn off and added that. I guess it depends on what's on hand. I make a ton of salad and eat it every day.

I like mixed greens and spinach, cukes, black olives. Prefer sautéed onions and peppers, and wonton strips or sesame sticks for crunch. I like ranch or Ken's Asian dressing. Sometimes shredded cheese. Love a great salad. Some days we have entree salads for our meal.
