The recipe for the Blueberry Buckle sounds delicious. I just received a new cookbook today with a recipe identical to the one posted. It is called a buckle cake according to this recipe because while it is baking it "buckles"! It suggests baking it in a 10 inch round springform pan. I will have to try this one--anything with blueberries is delicious in my book, I grew up eating wild Maine blueberries that we would pick every summer and enjoy eating!

Thanks for explaining that.

This blueberry pie was the last thing I baked before my oven died this weekend.

At least it went out with a bang! I think if I was an oven, I would want to go out with a blueberry pie.

Re: When life gives you blueberries...

Thank you.

I enjoy making pies more than I enjoy eating them. I had two slim pieces and DH finished the rest of it in two days.  I can out-eat him at every meal, but when it comes to pie, I need to step out of his way or get mowed down.

And Tigress, I agree, if I were an oven I'd want a pie to be my last production!

BTW, the oven is now fixed ($160.99) and ready to bake 6 dozen 4th of July cupcakes for my oldsters' senior party!
