My Mom was the biscuit maker of the family, and her biscuit cutter is proudly displayed in my kitchen.........

I got some for a shower gift....50 years ago.   But I was lazy and used Bisquick...     So, I guess I NEVER used the biscuit cutters...although I "think" they are still around here "someplace".

Re: When Was The Last Time You Used Your Biscuit Cutter!

We had last minute lunch guests this past Saturday. I ran to the grocery store and among other things, grabbed some prepared chicken salad and a package of egg roll wrappers. I used my largest biscuit cutter to make rounds out of the wrappers, lined my cupcake pans with them and baked until slightly crispy.  I used them as cups for the chicken salad.  They were a cute and delicious addition to the lunch table and took very little effort.

I also use my biscuit cutter in the pan to shape eggs when I make my homemade McMuffins. My large one is perfect for an Engligh muffin.

It's been a long time since I've actually used them for making biscuits.

I rarely make biscuits.  unless Strawberry shortcake is on the menu.  the last time I used my biscuit cutter was about this time last year to make sugar cookies.  All my cut out cookies are Snowballs or round Christmas bulbs.  No more  riendeer with no antlers or Christmas trees missing the star on top 'cause the dough was stuck in the shaped cutter!

I use mine every couple of weeks in the winter, less in the summer. Nothing much beats hot biscuits on cold winter days.

I'm guessing you used the well know Ingles chicken salad.

If you get a chance, grab a pound of chicken salad from Fresh Market (you get a free box of their amazing cressaunts with that!).  Their chicken salad is even better than Ingles!!!Smiley Happy

@ECBG  Never heard of Ingles but will be going to Fresh Market next week and check out their chicken salad. I like cranberries in mine.

Ingles is a large family owned chain here in NC and SC.  They have a great reward program as well as gas points for pumps in their parking lot.

FM chicken salad is wonderful!  Their white wine roasted chicken is one type that they use when they make it!  When I buy chicken salad, I usually pick up celery.  There is usually a little cold display with 1 lb CS next to the crescents at the deli.

They do THE best chocolate eclairs and fruit tarts!
