I'm making a practice run this week of a Braised Leeks Cream White Wine Sauce dish.  She serves it on toasted crusty bread, i.e. baguettes.  Found it on Coco Larkin's Instagram post.

If it works out bringing it to a pot luck in a month.

Umm, I order 3 dinners from Hungryroot for delivery this week.  Being landlocked, I don't trust the grocery store seafood.  They ship Egg Harbor seafood..........one scallop & shrimp dish, one shrimp dish and one steelhead trout dish.

Practice run a on new recipe makes sense. My wife was going to make French macaroons to a party so she made them as a practice run twice and they didn't come out right and she said I'm never making them again. They tasted good. I actually ate them all.

I have no idea what I am  cooking.  Got fish and pork chops in the freezer so it will be one of those unless I forget to defrost, then it's pasta or ramen noodles.

If you can Google it you won't believe it looks so pretty.

Happy October Everyone!  🍁🎃 🍂🌻🍃

No cooking here today.  I was supposed to meet up with my girlfriend group but guess what?  DH is sick now with the  stomach virus that our son's family had.  I'm staying home today.  I feel normal at the moment but don't want to carry anything to my girlfriends. I'll probably fast today, to be on the safe side.

Re: Whats cookng in october?

I found a recipe for a soup called Chicken Pot Pie soup---uses baked pie shells  that are baked, then you break them into pieces and add to the top when serving---interesting!! Will try over the weekend,
