@JeanLouiseFinch My sleep problems are definitely inherited.  My father was a poor sleeper as well.  I have had sleep issues since I was a teenager.

Pot roast is slow cooking in the oven in the dutch oven. It will be ready to eat in about 30 mins.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

I just mapped out my turkey thawing schedule.  I have a spot in the kitchen fridge reserved and space in the garage'fridge reserved.  It's going to be a busy week, getting ready, but I'm excited.  The one disappointment is that our older grandson plays hockey and they just added a game to their schedule for next Sunday.  He and his sister will be with their mom instead of coming here.  Our DSIL thinks he might be able to cast the game to our TV so we'll be able to watch it here.

I have a little grilled chicken in the fridge, enough for DH to make himself a wrap,  I decided to have a little breakfast today so I'm sticking with a Caesar salad, a sliced heirloom tomato, and a few Kalamata olives for lunch.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

Lots of good food here. Spent a few days away visiting my sis & bil. Caved in & went to Superdawg! I crave that place and finally caved in. No place like it where we live; that is probably a good thing.

Went on a hunting trip in our freezer & turned up some ground beef so chili it will become. Our usual toppings of cheese, chopped onions, crushed Fritos, sour cream. Packers aren't playing today but DH can find other games to watch.

@ninjawife, I hope your sleep issue is getting better. I do know that I get that way when I have doc appts coming up.

Everyone have a good rest of the day.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

Doing Taco Tuesday a bit early. Got out my 2qt slow/pressure cooker and browned some ground turkey and mixed in taco seasoning, black beans, and garlic and herb feta cheese.

Happy Monday all! Have a great week and thank you to any service member and families here. 🫡

Re: Whats cooking this november?

The turkeys have been moved to the fridge and thawing has commenced.

I came across a no bake recipe for a keto French Silk pie so I'm adding that to our menu.  Hopefully it's a winner.

I plan to go through exces clothing today and get a box ready for the resale shop. I've been holding on to a couple of things (Irish pullover sweaters) that I doubt they'll know the value on, but they aren't doing anything for me sitting in a drawer.  I haven't worn them in a long time so they need to go regardless.  I have some other things I need to part with as well,

Today we're having entree size tossed salads with steak.  Bleu cheese dressing for me and ranch for him.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

Happy Veterans Day! A day to thank those who are serving and have already done so. DH is out with 2 buddies who both served in Vietnam with the Army. DH served in the Philippines with the Navy. They are enjoying a meal out at a restaurant serving vets for free.

I am having chicken salad over a tossed green salad. Apple pie & ice cream for dessert.

Have a nice evening!

Re: Whats cooking this november?

@MOMMAVik  please thank your DH and his buddies for their service.  And a thank you to anyone else who has served. I believe  @RedTop  DH is also a Veteran. Our Veterans are truly hero's.  🇺🇸

I made hamburgers for us with onion rings.  I was quite hungry until my stomach got in a mood so I will eat something later.
Have  a good evening everyone!
