Making a casserole w/ mini meatballs, mushrooms, onions, garlic and egg noodles in a beefy sour cream sauce. It's called cleaning out the fridge/freezer/pantry day.

Not sure if my husband will like this or not, but he likes all the things IN the casserole. I have some fresh made breadsticks planned to go with the casserole, so if all else fails, he can fill up on breadstick

See the reason I love this website is because I have decided to make exactly what you are having for dinner.......it never would have occurred to me but I have everything in the house. You call it cleaning out the fridge ,I call it a great idea!

@Danky2

Well let's hope our dinners are good!

I get lots of ideas from reading the what's cooking thread. I am glad folks share their menus, as sometimes I just forget about certain items.

Like sloppy Joes...I have no idea the last time I made those. But next time I have the grandbabies I am going to make sloppy Joe's and I know they will love them.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

Good morning everyone. Toaster strud!e was the frozen one. Were in the 60s today and 70s for the next 4 days.beginning of November and I still have some tomatoes and eggplants and some Swiss chard growing in the garden. Its just a matter of time before we get a heavy killing frost that will end this growing season. Yestauday Ria worked almost a12 hour day.I had made 2 pepperoni pizza but for her pizza I used olive oil and no sauce.she takes pills for migraine head aches and the side affect is it makes some foods taste awful and makes her want to throw up. And it totally decreased her appetite.the part of it she does like is she lost 100 pounds.Tomatoes,tomato sauce,peppers,chocolate, any carbonated drinks, peppers. Danky picture an Italian woman that can't eat pasta sauce. She put on a Halloween shirt for Halloween and said how does it look. I said like a dress.it was so big.hope you all have a good rest of the week.

@Pooky1. so happy to hear that Ria has found a job that she loves--what a blessing that is. It is wonderful that you are willing to do the cooking and that you are able to help out. You sound like a very nice couple who are devoted to each other.

Pooky.......100 POUNDS.......GOOD FOR HER assuming she wanted to. I don't know what I would do without pasta sauce which I seem to use on everything.

You are such a good husband....

Have you ever heard of the MILK CAN on Louisquesett (spelling) Pike.....wonder if it is still there. I had to go to Cranston this summer......Chestnut Ave. I got soooo lost !

Re: Whats cooking this november?

Pork tenderloin in Thai sweet chili sauce, jasmine rice and bok choy for dinner tonight.

Peanut butter cookies dipped in chocolate for dessert. Most of the cookies are for my neighbor, but I'm keeping a few for my darling hubby because peanut butter cookies are his favorite.
