Re: Whats cooking this november?

We had breakfast for dinner tonight. Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and toast.

My husband makes the best toast....probably due to the qty of butter he uses. I try not to watch because I am sure I would be appalled at how much butter goes onto the toast.  But it is delish.

@Danky2

Life happens...which is why freezers are great to have.

Since I had my gallbladder removed I have not had good luck eating Chinese food from a restaurant. The side effects are bad, bad, bad. It's probably the oil used that causes me problems. I make a few Asian dishes,  but not items like egg foo yung.

We have a fabulous international district in Seattle with great restaurants. I miss being able to enjoy the food.

Re: Whats cooking this november?

Oldest DD is coming home today to spend a few days with us.  She has requested that I make tilapia with lemon vinegarette and spinach and white beans tonight.  Tomorrow she has offered to make penne vodka.  Thursday is Thanksgiving dinner at my SIL's house and Friday we are going out to dinner to our favorite steak place.  After brunch on Saturday morning DD goes back to DC.

Tonight will be lasagna, salad & garlic bread.

Tomorrow baked salmon with lemon/butter and slivered almonds. Carrots and peas alongside.

Light desserts both nights, maybe cookies & ice cream - saving room for the Thanksgiving meal!

Wishing you the happiest and a very joyous Thanksgiving!
