Re: Whats cooking this march?

DS and the kids came today.  A special treat was that DDIL was able to come too.  DGD asked in advance for breakfast for dinner so she could crack the eggs.  She did a great job.  DGS tried to help set the table but he smashed all the napkins into balls.  LOL.

Re: Whats cooking this march?

Tonight we are having buffalo chicken wings and a salad with Italian dressing. Celery with bleu cheese also. Snowed here last night, just after we had 3 days of 70 degrees!

Re: Whats cooking this march?

I have a package of roast beef that needs to be used.  DH and I are leaving for a trip early next week so we'll be using that roast beef in lettuce wraps today and tomorrow.  Sunday we're eating out with one of our kids.  Monday we fast. Tuesday I'll finish up the roast beef and pack us a lunch for on the road.

Re: Whats cooking this march?

Good evening everyone. Clouds and sun and it has gotten cold I to the 30s. Yestauday MS doctor appointment went well. Doctor hasn't think my back and right leg issue is MS related. He's sending me for a lower lumbar MRI to see what's going on. And he wants to put me on a different MS drug that's stronger than what I'm on. Once I have the MRI on the 31st on this month he's going to have a telephone appointment to disscuss MRI results. After the appointment ria didnt want leftovers so when we got home we ordered food. I had mini muffins for breakfast, frozen appetizers we had in the freezer I baked. Tonight we had leftover corn and mashed potatoes and gravy but I made fried chicken fresh each night and I made an apple crumble for dessert.  It was easy I used Apple's I had vacuum packed in the freezer. Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Whats cooking this march?

My Boiled Dinner today. I boiled the smoked shoulder for 20 minutes 3 times and discarded the salty water. It's too high in sodium so the water changes dilute that. Then added the veggies another hour. The cabbage had a lot of sand or dirt layered in the leaves that needed thorough rinsing so it went in last after I fished out the veggies and ham. That's Ok I don't miss it. my favorite is the parsnips and turnip. We'll have a few days of easy meals.

DD and I are having pizza while we watch the Oscar red carpet show.  We don't watch the actual awards just the dresses before hand.

Good evening everyone. Crazykittylvr2 .I miss when the tv show fashion police would be on the day after the awards shows were on talking about the awards and outfits people wore.comments could be good or bad. Its been cool and cloudy all day but tomorrow morning and again late very stormy. Yestauday ria ordered food when she was getting out of work from a local pizza place called pizza place. There foods really good.this morning we both had a peice of danish for breakfast and Anna cooked string bean with potatoes salad, broccoli rage and baked stuffed shrimp. Grapes and pineapple after dinner. Everything was really good. Leftovers for tonight. Have a great night everyone.
