Re: Whats cooking this febuary?

We are celebrating Valentines Day early with teacher daughter, with takeout from Outback.

I had no idea it was National Pizza Day, but coincidentally we're having it tonight, also.  Our houseguest is leaving in the morning and we suggested Movie Night tonight. I decided on pizza to make my life easier.

Re: Whats cooking this febuary?

I eat pizza, but am picky about it, and actually prefer homemade.

I didn't start eating pizza until I was about 20, and learned there was a huge difference in what Mom made at our house and what was available for purchase.  I remember taking home a large pepperoni pizza from Pizza Inn and telling my family "this is real pizza!"

Re: Whats cooking this febuary?

I switched my IF up today and also had a bit if a cheat.

Breakfast:

Bacon, Egg, Cheese sandwich on a keto bagel (which technically isn't ingredient wise)

Mug of Blueberry Bulletproof Coffee delicious 😋

Lunch:

Last of the Lasagna

Tossed Salad w/either Ranch or Bleu Cheese Dressing

That's it for the day.  Will fast until lunch tomorrow.

Re: Whats cooking this febuary?

Black bean soup with spicy Italian sausage and beer bread with cheddar, chives and jalapeños. Making enough for 2 days. Icecream for dessert.

We're eating out for a change. My son's band is playing in a show tonight at a brewery.  We've eaten there before and the food is pretty good... I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there except for the fact that the entertainment will be worth the price... of course I'm prejudiced.

Menu, if interested

We're bringing my granddaughter home to spend the night, to top off a long 10 days of house guests and chaos.  If I live through this weekend I'm going to be a very happy camper next week.

Re: Whats cooking this febuary?

Leftover chili, which leaves no leftovers in the refrigerator.  Will have to cook something tomorrow for sure.

Re: Whats cooking this febuary?

Leftover soup and beer bread for dinner.

Made for tomorrow's party:

60 antipasto skewers (marinating now in the dressing)

45 raspberry parfait

45 pistachio parfait

Bacon cheddar dip - triple recipe

BBQ beans - triple recipe

Everything went together fast, as one of my dils and my dh helped me. We had a fun production line going. My dh had lots of "quality control" samples as his payment. Smiley Happy

Will do the chocolate strawberries & cheeseboard thing tomorrow - everything is prepped, and hubby has the brisket ready to be smoked in the morning.

Happy this is the last of the big parties until Easter and our new grandbaby's arrival. We don't do much for Valentine's or St Pat's other than giving the grandbabies little cards and goodies. No adult partying.

Good evening everyone. This week I made a big pan of pasta sausage mushroom Alfredo pasta and a turkey meatloaf that had stove top stuffing mix, grated carrot, diced celery, dried cranberries. It was delicious and I had made stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy. We made a terriaki meatloaf that's delicious but this meatloaf was even better. Anyone wants the recipe I will be happy to share it. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
