What's the first thing you're going to cook when the weather turns cool?

If we EVER get a rainy day, or even a cool one, the first thing I'll make is chicken and dumplings, or a hearty chicken vegetable soup.

How 'bout you?

Where we live we have had too many rainy days this summer, and have an entire week of them coming up!  I've already made chicken and dumplings last week, probably chili this weekend for the ballgame company.

I'm not happy about all this!  Woman Mad

It’s hazy, thick, hot and humid here and I hope it stays that way for a while but I already went ahead and prepared a meal for cooler days last night. Tired of the grill and wanted a change. I made a bolognese sauce and we had it over campanelli pasta with some broccoli and omg it was so good.

DH is on Jenny Craig so it  will be a while before I cook again.  I'm eating just salads or salmon (1 meal per day)

Usually it's salibury steak or ham & bean soup, turkey soup.

All of those sound great. We are mostly getting rain in the evenings when the heat has built up and a storm comes along. With tropical storm Gordon brewing in the gulf, we'll get some from that if what we are getting now isn't the outer tails. I would love a cool, crisp ****** or even a hint in the early morning hours. We are just humid and hot in the mid 90s and higher with the humidity.
