Good evening everyone. This year is going buy so fast. My mom use to say when you hit a certain age time really starts going by faster. I'm 53 and the last couple years have been flying by. We are back with temperatures near 90 and dew points in the high 70s. I haven't been outside much other than to pick tomatoes and cucumbers. Some tomatoes were still green and ria took them and some cucumbers to someone that works with her.he put them in his car early this morning and and when he left he was shocked to see how they started to get half orange from being in the hot car. Yestauday I made chicken wings with garlic powder, soy sauce and brown sugar ,oven roasted mini colored potatoes and corn on the cob. Everything came out really good. And I made cherry turnovers. Have a great safe month of August every one.

Will be cooking on my Ninja outdoor grill---as usual---this week, here in the WA state, our temps will be close to 90 where I am , and the triple digits down south as well as in eastern WA , so will be cooking early for our meals at dinner time. Been roasting vegs and meats, as well as doing alot of cool salads--made some pesto for pasta--- great on the fish -- also polenta in my pressure cooker. Hard boiled eggs for yummy sammies with avo and tomatos. Just easy light food--going out early in the morning for shopping and then back inside with our 400 fans-
--to keep cool--no AC except in the 2 bedrooms. Am so looking forward to fall!!!

We're inundated with fresh eggs. I have a basket full on the kitchen counter and have cooked a bunch in the instant pot, and we still haven't collected today's eggs.
Today we are going out for Mexican food. I'm probably going to have fajitas, no rice or beans.

What's going to be cooking in August? As was also true in July, the answer is ME. I'm so, so tired of temperatures in the triple digits! It's sad when a "cool front" translates into a drop to the mid-90s and everyone gets excited.
Anyway, for tonight, I'll be air frying some hot dogs and sausages—I can't imagine going anywhere near a grill in this heat, and fortunately, the air fryer works great for this!

Good evening everyone. Its been another day in the 90s and super high humidity. I don't go out when its this hot. I recently tried to grill burgers in the emeral lagassee air fryer. It comes with a grill pan plus alot of other inserts. The came out really good. Tonight was leftover chicken, potato salad and corn on the cob. Have a great weekend everyone.

Other than the "me" cooking - ha - Dinners sound tasty!
it's 89 and 56% humidity here at our house. We walked by a lake this morning and it was so beautiful out!
We are having barbecued chicken breasts, corn on cob, broccoli and butternut squash. DH doing all on barbecue except broccoli. Im a vegetable girl so happy! maybe some fresh raspberries with coconut spray whip.
Hope all those in heat and smoke doing ok.
