Went out for lunch with my neighbor. I had the cranberry chicken wrap with potato salad for my side. It was delicious and I brought half home.

She wore the same shoe but one was black and the other one was blue. All we could do was laugh.

I have done that more than once. One time I wore different colored shoes on a day I was giving a presentation in front of a couple of hundred people....I turned it into my opening joke.

Well blush sauce was a no go.  I can't tolerate anything acidic which is strange b/c over the weekend I was able to eat green bean salad made with red wine vinegar.

Happy Birthday house_cat to your granddaughter 2 is such a sweet fun age , our youngest grandson is 18 months old
We’ve always kept our grandkids a lot , nothing gets done we just play when they are here

RetiredRN lol today my friend was telling me she’d bought a pair of shoes earlier in the year , just trying one on to see if they fit
She put them in her closet and forgot them until Sunday when she was getting ready for Church and saw them
Thinking they would her dress she was wearing she put them on
As they started to leave her husband asked if she was starting a new fashion ? she asked why he pointed to her shoes
She had two completely different shade of shoes on
Lol someone had mixed up a pair of shoes , same shoes completely different colors

Tonight we had cheeseburgers , it was so hot outside I didn’t want to use the grill , I browned them on the stove top then put the iron skillet in the toaster oven a few mins to finish cooking , they were delicious and so easy , with coleslaw, vadelia onion ,
Sliced tomatoes, chips

Re: What's cooking in this month of June?

DH and I are leaving around 3:00 PM, to attend a concert this evening where a friend will be singing. The drive is about 1.5 hrs., plus we have to allow for a time zone change.  Normally we eat near the venue, but we're going to eat at home this time because tomorrow I'm eating out twice! 😳. For today's lunch, I will reheat the leftover Chicken Broccoli Tomato Pesto, but I'm going to add a little more pesto.  It was good the other day, but a lot of the pesto mixed with pan juices and stayed in the pan.  I'll make a tossed salad to go with it and our usual chia pudding as dessert.

Halibut, coleslaw and grilled corn on the cob is our dinner tonight. Made fresh biscuits so we will have strawberry shortcake with 3 of our grandbabies who are coming over for a quick visit.

Re: What's cooking in this month of June?

DH is in NY for a few days, spending time with his dad who is having a heart valve procedure.  I've heated up a portion of beef stew that I had in the freezer.  If I recall, it was especially good beef stew.

Made Grandma's Baked Ziti for dinner.  Used cream cheese instead of Ricotta.  Enjoyed.  Will make again.

[ Edited ]

I have an early, and kinda busy, day tomorrow so I'm posting now, in advance.  No cooking for me, though.  I've decided everything in advance so I can stay on my plan.  I won't be doing my usual 22-23 hr. fast.

I'm starting the day with a breakfast meeting.  I'm ordering a spinach and cream cheese omelette, a side of bacon, and coffee - no potatoes or toast. I'll have my chia pudding and berries when I get home.

At dinnertime, DH and I are meeting another couple.  I'll have an antipasto salad and the tops from a few pieces of pizza (square cut)
