What's cooking in August?

Morning,

Another hot one. Hope we don't get fried today. In the 90's all this week. Our grass is green only because we use our sprinklers. Guess we should be use to it by now.

August, again, where does the time go? I remember as a kid, time seemed to move so slowly. I was always wishing for the future, to be a teenager, to graduate from school, to be on my own, etc. Now time flies by with such speed. It will be a busy month for us with a trip to NYC for me, a surgery for Nelson, and a trip to W.V. Wow. I'm tired looking at this in print.

Made a dessert last night for friends that stopped by and a second one for new neighbors. Made a brownie mix, put 1/2 of it in a sprayed 8 x 8 pan, then 2 Symphony bars with toffee and almonds, then the other half of the brownie mix. Baked 45 min. Very rich but very good.
