I went to a community market this morning and bought some jelly from one of the vendors that was called NanKing Cherry. Never heard of it.

Any one knows what that means relative to a homemade jelly ?

NanKing is a kind of cherry, from an ornamental shrub, originally from Japan.

Strive for respect instead of attention. It lasts longer.

Tasted pretty good. DH got plain strawberry. I like DQ cherry sundaes too.

Can't find butterscoth nothing here in Tx for some reason. They act like it's

some kind of new flavor "we got caramel".

You can buy butterscotch topping at Walmart, thank God !

@SharkE   my husband is crazy about butterscotch sauce on I ice cream with peanuts.

i make my own with butter, brown sugar, heavy whipping cream and vanilla.  It is made in around 15 minutes and keeps for two weeks in the fridge.  So good and extremely easy to make.

@SharkE Maybe it is a variety of cherry?  Like bing cherries?  A WILD guess!

I also make my own and it is sooo good:

1 stick butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 tsp light (clear) corn syrup

1 tsp vanilla

Heat butter and sugar in saucepan over medium-high heat until bubbly and lighter in color (about 4 minutes for me), stirring constantly.  Whisk in cream off heat until smooth.  Stir in corn syrup and vanilla.
