Always great to see new people here - keep coming back!!!! Have a good rest of the day - by the way, I generally detest sea food of any kind. LOL

I don't care for seafood (or freshwater) either @Winifred.  When we go fishin' I catch ... he cleans ... I cook and he eats.  LOL  I think that's the only reason he wants me to go fishing with him.  When he goes with his brother they never seem to come home with many fish. Smiley Happy

Re: What's Cooking this November - Thanksgiving Time

Ahhhhhhh I have a minus seafood friend here Preds. Good to know. Must admit, however there is some great Cod but I rarely buy it - I mean the Fish 'n Chips stuff. Am scared to eat it just anywhere and in Palm Springs where I worked, we had a restaurant that was Fish .N Chips and that is where I learned the Fish was cooked in batter - never knew that before. It was great. Very very good. If I can smell it  I will NOT eat it. LOL.

I bought two things earlier today which I am trying for dinner tonight. One is frozen pkg for my WOK pan - loved food cooked in that. Then I got some Asian bar-b-qued beef with Asian sauce and am trying that as a go with. Now I am hoping the sauce is edible - sure hope I did not make a mistake..   just looked really interesting.

Another HOT day here in Sou Cal. I guess cool weather is coming but the nights are freezing - which is normal and this can be normal but it is at least giving me time to find some sweat shirts. Mine are all coming apart at the sleeves and I am sad - they are ALL championship sweat shirts, football, baseball, city, etc and I need to pack them away. Did go to Ross and TJ MAxx earlier today and NO SWEAT SHIRTS of ANY KIND. Am  not a happy camper. Pretty said when you have to go on line as I do NOT like to pay postage. Hopefully can find a baby sitter and perhaps tomorrow can check out Target, Kohls and KMart. My good old standbys!!

Have a good evening one and all.

Thought I would come back and tell you what the Asian meat was - it was EXCELLENT!!!! It was Yang's Marinated and barbecued CHICKEn - not beef - and was excellent. The sauce was Teriyaki. So very good!!

Re: What's Cooking this November - Thanksgiving Time

Thanks Preds - you always have such great greetings for us. Much appreciated.

Had a roast with baby carrots and cabbage cooked with it and then some large fries - chunks actually, with garlic and cheddar cheese on them - very very good meal.

Ricky had a difficult time today, actually he has had problems for over a week now - actually over a year now but this past week has been especially hard on him. Am sooooooo happy as I FINALLY heard from the mental health people I contacted on 10/27 with Court approval for me to seek help for him. His last year plus has been horrible - he has been from pillow to post and it has been so difficult/. They will come to the home to observe and provide guidance and I am very pleased they do it that way. HOpefully problems can be weeded out - I have NOT been able to help him and it has broken my heart. I know all about the terrible two's but that has NOT been his problem I am convinced. We shall find out. Have a funny feeling that his grandma may be a big part of the problem and that disturbs me. I am his great great grandma - too old to raise small children but am determined to do what I can. He and his little sister did not ask for what has occurred in their lives - so sad. Enough of this.

Cooler past couple days - can hardly wait for church tomorrow. ANDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!! I finally got a perm. Have not had my hair done in two plus months as I could not get there due to no babysitter for the young ones. My hair is all falling out - LOL - and I feel good now.

Hope one and all had a marvelous day.

Re: What's Cooking this November - Thanksgiving Time

[ Edited ]

Oh my gosh, these days roll by quickly do they not?!! Time to try and figure out what for dinner. Cooked a big meal Saturday night but last night was leftovers and whatever else was available - always some of that. LOL. Yesterday was so busy, getting everyone up, settled in, fed and then off to church. Came home and Davey;'s Dad and Davey's little half sister had to head by to San Bernardino early - BD party for Lola to attend so no big cooking. Came back and I wanted to crash but could not do it. Ricky fell asleep in the car and slept another 3 hours - bless him. the little girl just rolled.

Lot of traffic on this little one block long street again yesterday. Saturday was a nightmare - party next door and the sheriff was out to check on the noise - sure am glad. they had live music there and it was horrible. Sheriff did make them shut the loud music down and OFF! Someone must have called them and I for one was delighted they showed up. Cars everywhere and in the way. I think there must have been a few leftovers yesterday as all the traffic was again directed at that house. But thank goodness,  no loud music.

Well need to get a move on or at least thinking about what to have for dinner - it will be simple - that is for sure. Hope one and all have a great day.
