Re: What's Cooking in your 2016 New Y ear???

How is the soup! Red top, hope your daughter enjoyed it. Warm here again. We had fried cabbage skillet with hamburger and onion stirred in with it. Was good

We're getting snow now, looks like it'll be quite a bit, I think they're predicting 3-6", but who knows, @Soushi24, you got out just in time, enjoy the sunshine.

Have a pot of Chili simmering on the stove, think I'll make some cornbread & of course some pasta go withs, good for a snowy nite.

Hope all are snug & warm

No snow here in Tampa area but Sunday calls for damp and rainy day -- decided to make some chili, cornbread and my fav dessert lemon glazed pound cake.

Of course, perfect meal as my spouse will be glued to tv for playoffs and golf and I'm going to friends for the day (post holiday get together).

Soushi,  you better come back and shovel your driveway.    Your town is getting the most.   Wind chill 20 below.  Don't you miss it?

@tiny 2

it's a recipe from Martha Stewart I've been using this for years.

If you google "Martha Stewart Glazed Lemon Pound Cake" the recipe should come up.  It's the best recipe I've ever used BUT

better is the Krusteaz Meyer Lemon Pound cake mix (comes with the glaze packet).

I doctor the box mix with a little lemon zest in the batter and glaze.

I find it's easier and tastes great -- not a crumb left! I bake for 34-37 minutes in non-stick greased loaf pan 8" x 4".

Give it a try even if your not a box cake user -- always delicious from this company! Enjoy😄
