Re: What's Cooking in September- already?

Nothing was cooking in my kitchen tonight Friday.

Oh man, last evening Thursday, my husband was going to Sams Club. I said, "Oh why don't you pick up a cooked pizza 1/2 Cheese and 1/2 Pepperoni".

He had -3- slices and I ate -1-.  I said, this cheese just smelled funny...I said, "It could be the different cheese?

Long story short...We (Hubby and I) were sick all day today Friday.  Horrible....Horrible.

I called Sams Club and spoke to a Manager and he credited our card over the phone for the price of the pizza.

Lession learned...It will be the LAST time we BUY a "Sams Club Pizza".

Dinner tonight was "Selizer Water".

Everyone...Enjoy your Weekend!

Re: What's Cooking in September- already?

Had one of those delicious monster pizzas from Aldi's last night. Pepperoni and cheese - sure was good. Such a good buy - biggest pizza there is - hardly fit in my upright freezer width wise - lol - and only a little over $5. Cannot do any better than that. I love their foods - all very good. Very few known brands but the food is excellent. Tonight? Have no clue - perhaps spaghetti.

Have a good day one and all and eat well. Shame on me for not stopping by yesterday - also missed others.

Now this may sound weird but used up some food - and it was delicious. Hamburger, cut up onion, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers and added baby carrots. Tossed in some dry ranch dressing and garlic salt. Cooked for several hours in the slow cooker then added cooked noodles - very very good!!!!! Hardly any left.

Hope all had a great day!!!

Re: What's Cooking in September- already?

Here is an old but good recipe. Made it last Tuesday for grief group here at the house. Have several request for the recipe:

Pumpkin Dessert

  • Ingredients

    • 1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin
    • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
    • 1 package yellow cake mix (regular size)
    • 3/4 cup butter, melted
    • 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
    •
  • Directions

  • 1. In a large bowl, beat first five ingredients until smooth.
  • 2. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with cake mix and drizzle with butter. Top with walnuts.
  • 3. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. serve with whipped cream.
