Am delighted to hear Pooky1 that your wife has some relief. Sorry to read they were not able to get it all cleaned up - she must be in misery. Hopefully this waiting time will fly by and she can find a permanent relief from pain. Bless you both.
In between going crazy with chores yesterday did manage to fix a ham - from Aldi's and it was super good. Also had WOK veggies and the combo was great. Today am taking the two little ones to visit with their Mom then they go to Sherry's as her daughter has a large home and property and they are having an Easter Egg hunt there tomorrow. I took up eggs and a lot of other goodies yesterday so they should be in good shape. Course Sherry will have to boil the eggs and then have the two little ones help with coloring. looking forward to trying to rest a bit come tomorrow - after church that is. Still have some cleaning to do here but finding getting things like that done has become quite a chore. Groan.
Have a great day everyone.

@Pooky1 What the heck? Why couldn't they get it all in one surgery, sounds suspicious to me. It is outrageous that they are making a patient suffer so and for so long.

@Pooky1 and Maria------what a stinkin' mess !!! Maria must be beside herself emotionally as anyone would be......This is pure torture for you both and her Mom ( Not gonna include grumpy old man.)
I saw something the other day which made me think of you and I lol....
Do you know that there is a dishwasher that has a window for watching the process....between that and your clothes washer you would be in heaven !
I guess you'll be alone for Easter since I'm pretty certain you're not going downstairs. Hope you won't be too lonely without your Maria. Keep us posted......hugs to you both !

My brother has had 2 kidney surgeries in the last year. Each time, the doctor has made it a point to let my brother know the procedure was completed in far less time than anticipated.
My brothers doctor explained that when a kidney has to be clamped off for surgery, it can only be clamped for a very short time without affecting normal function that then requires dialysis. I believe my brother said dialysis treatment is required once a procedure goes longer than 30 minutes.

Our neighborhood was without power for 2 days. We have a generator, and our wood stove kept the inside temperature at 72+, so I cut the thermostat back for the electric heat, and all was well and good for us.
Yes, I did my grocery shopping early this morning; $430 worth, but all the pantry holes are full once more, and we have 110 lbs of dog food, so we are good to go for up to 8 weeks again.
The 3 day sale at my local grocery was not as interesting as I’d hoped, so I made my first trip to Wal-Mart since before my knee replacement in October. I breezed thru the store as fast as my two replacement knees could carry me, with no pain or discomfort. I helped load the dog food, then sent my husband to the front to sit on a bench while I grabbed the food.
It is very clear my husband is reaching the point healthwise of being unable to participate in grocery shopping. He needs a new knee, but is not a candidate for surgery, due to his advanced diabetes. It bothers me to watch him limp in pain; I’ve been there and know that level of hurt all too well. Reluctantly, he has started using my cane, but I can see him moving to a wheelchair for outings very soon.
@RedTop-----isn't it heartbreaking to see someone we love deteriorating
physically ? My DH told me that the hardest thing for him to accept was that he was no longer "THE MAN". One of my sons told him "Yes you are.... it will just be on my shoulders and in my arms."
One of my children heats their entire house (around 3000 sq ft) with wood. They have no traditional heating system.
You must be an excellent shopper.....what you spent is very reasonable for 4 adults for 8 weeks plus doggies. And based on your menus, you eat very well.
I was planning on going to where the rest of the family is congregating for Easter, but I 've decided to stay at home alone and just chillax for the day.
If I am motivated to go out, I'll get KFC.

@mousiegirlwrote:What is everyone cooking for Easter? I will be cooking ham, with pineapple rings, yams, corn bread or biscuits, stuffed eggs for DH, and a green vege side, carrot cheesecake from here for dessert.
DH and I will be working in the garden all day now that the weather is nice, so many weeds to deal with.
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!
@Pooky1 I hope Maria is doing well.
@mousiegirl-----another yummy dinner from Miss Mousie.....It is probably going to be awhile before I make the Detroit pizza. By the time I get to it I will have to reorder the pepperoni since , heeding your suggestion, I have been snacking on it....
Can you, would you put a little stand outside and sell your overflow of veggies ? I remember last year zucchini was becoming a challenge.
Our forsythia are ready to pop and the daffodils and lilacs have buds on them AND it is expected that we will get 3" of snow Sunday night...
@Winifred---sounds like the little ones have a nice weekend planned. Hope you have a relaxing day and get some much needed rest.
HAPPY HAPPY EASTER.......You are such a nice bunch of cyber friends !
