Re: What's Cooking for March

Soushi, glad to read you are doing better after some meds - good news!!!

Ricky had a ball hunting eggs yesterday and then of course, he wanted to hide them. He had a lot of fun - and so did everyone else watching and playing with him. Yesterday was a perfect day and this morning it is dreary, cold and the air is very damp - rain or drizzle predicted. We need the moisture - if it even happens, but am glad yesterday was a great day.

Shortly will head to get a little exercise - not in the mood but know I need to do it.

No big cooking plans for today - still have a lot of food in the Fridge which needs to be eaten. Did not get all the ham sliced so will finish that up. That ham was way too big but will freeze a lot of it. Ham is a great thing to toss in with fresh veggies while cooking - good for flavoring. Can always use it that way.

Hope all have a good day and Soushi, stay on the trend of feeling better!!! Hope Nelson is also doing well.

Re: What's Cooking for March

Davey has NOT had good support in his young life from either parent. Old great grand here has perhaps been his strongest support however He does not appreciate that and believe it or not I somewhat understand his thinking - not completely, however as he must learn to take a deep breath and "man up" so to speak. School starts again next week - that is good. I love all my grands and greats and great greats but all must learn they too contribute to being a good person - not just in other people's hands. Davey seems to feel what he thinks is the only thing. LOL. Gee whiz, did I do that at his age? Nope, had a military dad and British momma, with missionary ancestors - not a chance. LOL.

Heated up some leftovers from yesterday - very very good.

Got a tad cool here today but none of the rain they promised. Sigh.

Re: What's Cooking for March

I am freezing here in Sou Cal - what on earth happened to our Spring weather. Well, this is normal, one day to the next can often be a surprise. Good thing is we had some rain falling yesterday. also HAIL and the winds were fierce. Poor feathered ones however, they have no food in their feeders. I hopefully will be able to get them filled this morning.

Speaking of food, once again I did NOT have to cook last night. Getting to really like that but am sure it will not remain that way. LOL. In fact tonight I will be back in the kitchen - oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Soushi, am thinking of you and Nelson - hope both of you are feeling fine.

Have a good day everyone!!

Re: What's Cooking for March

Baked potatoes , collards and more ham - sounds pretty good to me. That was one BIG ham. May nibble on it a couple more days then freeze - after slicing - what is left.

Got cold AGAIN today, winds blew AGAIN and a spattering of rain AGAIN. What can I say.

Spent the day running errands from one place to another - up and down the Freeway. Would like to go to bed now but that will not work. Davey is still with his Dad - due home in a couple days and have the others here shortly.

Re: What's Cooking for March

Evening all,

Has been a rough few days. Nelson had a breathing epoisode where he could not get a breath. Under protest from him, I called the EMS and he was admitted to the hospital.

This was Sunday night and he has been there till today. Spend a lot of time at the hospital and coming home to pack. Still have much to do but we will work on it tomorrow.

Today spent almost an hour waiting for his scripts to be filled, then he needed a nap and so did I. We did go out for dinner tonight then back home for more packing..

So........no cooking here.
