The boards are a tad messed up this morning as at first try, could NOT start a new thread here so will see if this works. Preds you evidently ran into the same thing as your great greeting was in the February thread.

Soushi, hope things are well and that your DH is still doing better - that is good.

Davey and I went to Dennys last evening - I need to stop this cheating and also my pocketbook cannot stand it. LOL.

Will come back later after I figure out what I am fixing for dinner.

Stop by everyone - we love everyone's ideas on the food. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all get together occasionally - sure would be some good eating!

Re: What's Cooking for March

Thanx @Winifred, for the March start off.

Your idea of a get together sounds like it would be fun, but at least we can do it here.

Had taco's last nite, tonite who knows, will head down to the freezer to check it out

Really icy here so I'm staying in today, I've reached that stage where caution is the better way to go

Take Care

Re: What's Cooking for March

Morning,

Thanks for starting us out, Winifred. I was at the beach yesterday. Weather is delightful, there was a soft breeze and I'm a little pink today.

Hope all is well with everyone. Here is a dressing I want to try:

Copycat Olive Garden Salad Dressing

Yield: 1½ cups dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Good Seasonings Italian Dressing Mix
  • Âľ cup oil (vegetable/canola)
  • ÂĽ cup plus 2 Tbsp white vinegar
  • ÂĽ cup water
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ÂĽ tsp pepper
  • ÂĽ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ Tbsp mayonnaise (not miracle whip)Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Whisk briskly so that there are no clumps of mayo. Keep refrigerated
  • Instructions

Re: What's Cooking for March

Afternoon all, pork chops for tonite & of course fried noodles, also picked up some asparagus on sale, so that'll be a go along

Sun is shining but more snow due tonite then a major warm up, hoping it's finally Spring to stay, we've had so many teases, strange Winter but not a bad one.

Trying to get a head start on Spring Cleaning, you know the really deep down kind, these days 1 room at a time is my limit, but it sure is a good feeling when it's done

Hope all have a good evening

Re: What's Cooking for March

Your meal sounds really good Spix. I love asparagus yet rarely fix it - have no clue why, I just don't. Need to perhaps rethink that.

Have a boneless chuck roast in the slow cooker with a big sweet onion - of course - and a big red bell pepper. Am warming up some collards I had left over and fixing some cauliflower as it was beginning to age and I did not want to lose it. Will miss having either noodles or potatoes with the roast but this will work - healthy and the food I had will not go to waste.

Nice day today but not as warm as yesterday - tomorrow the temps will drop a bit and by Saturday it will be around 60. Now that will not be real nice as it is also suppose to be overcast. Ho Hum.

Continue eating well everyone!! Sure always see some really good meals here.
