Either honey wheat or whole wheat bread. I sometimes use oatmeal in addition to the bread. I never use saltines; too much salt.

Wheat bread. My mom used white bread. I never heard of crackers ! No bread crumbs.

I had a very good meatball recipe that soaked torn bread in milk first. I think that might keep the bread pieces from showing. Anyway, for meatloaf I will use whatever is around, panko first choice, Italian bread crumbs, crackers, soaked bread chunks.

My Grandmother (moms mother) used crushed saltine crackers when we were growing up. Mom would use white bread soaked in milk sometimes but mostly never used anything. I don't use any bread at all..especially not oatmeal!

I use Panko. Sometimes i use plain and sometimes I used an Italian seasoned Panko. I might use 1/4 cup at most for 1.5 pounds of ground beef.

I've heard of using saltines or oatmeal. I use bread: usually sour dough or wheat; sometimes white bread.

Either oats or crushed rice Chex cereal. My little girl is gluten free and these are inexpensive ways to keep the meatloaf gf.
