What is your oldest working electric appliance?

[ Edited ]

I have a 52 yr. old 12 cup  Stainless Steel Farberware Electric coffee pot..I use it every day.

I also have 2 GE canister vacuums from the 1950's..One was Mom's the other was MIL's..

I use one in the garage and the other in the basement..they still work great!..If they only had a powerhead!

Fifty-year-old small slow cooker that still works like a champ.

My General Electric handheld mixer is over 54 years old. It was a wedding gift and is the only mixer I ever use. My KitchenAid stand mixer is in the utility storage closet. I just do not need it often since I have my trusty little avocado green hand held.

Wow - that's an old appliance. We were just talking the other day how we may have to replace our vaccum cleaner..........one of them is a Sears from 1998.

Re: What is your oldest working electric appliance?

Until recently I had a GE toaster that my parents bought when they got married in 1938.  I used it often.

I'm trying to rid myself of all that I can so as not leave a huge cleanup for my heirs, so I gave it to a family member a few months ago.

Honestly, I don't think my modern toaster works as good as that old one!

Re: What is your oldest working electric appliance?

My Presto hot air popcorn popper is positively geriatric and still going strong❤️. I think I bought it in 1974 or '75 and I remember the apartment where I lived then. They are still manufactured today and look very much the same.

Next oldest is a 1985 Cuisinart waffle maker. I've read a number of not so positive reviews of a newer replacement versiton which means I'm still using my original.  Even though a small piece fell off a while back, it was insignificant and my waffles come out just the same as always.

@Jo1313   I also have a Farberware  percolator coffee maker that is about 25 years old.  I will never part with it.  I really think it makes the best coffee...even better than my Keurig.

My Kitchenaid mixer. My dad bought it for my mom in 1975.
