Because ground beef can be more than $5 a pound now, I bought a 3 lb package because it was less per pound. I don't want to make spaghetti and sloppy joes anymore, so I am wondering what to do with it. Suggestions welcome.

There are so many things, stroganoff, meatloaf, chili, meatballs for sandwiches, Italian soup with mini meatballs. the list is endless.

Well, you ruled out my favorite--spaghetti meat sauce! LOL

Chili. I can stretch it by adding carrots, bell peppers, celery & potatoes.

Meatloaf! I also add brown gravy mix to crumbled ground beef and pour it over extra wide egg noodles. You can also add some chopped onions and cooked along with meat, or mushrooms. A side vegetable and a dinner roll, my family loves this. I also use it to make stuffed peppers.

My family likes chili. Lately I've been putting chili in a casserole dish and baking cornbread on top of the chili. Big hit at home.

I did that this weekend with 3# of ground beef.

I made 1# taco meat so I can have tacos and taco salad. My favorite meals!

With the other 2# I made Stroganoff and meatloaf hamburgers for DH. His favorite meals.

I was going to make chili but the other dishes won out.

Chili, stew, and soup

I made a soup in the crock pot yesterday with ground chuck, chopped onion, jarred sweet italian peppers, beef broth and rice. It was so good and hit the spot because it was cold. I just had leftovers tonight and it tasted even better than yesterday.
