Made a large salad last night for company. Romaine lettuce and baby spinach, red onion, mandarin oranges, a sprinkle of dried cranberries and candied pecans. Home made poppy seed dressing. It was great with my homemade chicken pie! I can't believe how much four of us ate.

I love salads....hard to pick my favorite. Thanks for this thread.....so many sound good. One of my favorites is Spinach Salad with Pasta......fresh spinach, penne noodles, chicken strips (optional), sliced strawberries, red onion, chopped walnuts, Parmesan cheese and balsamic viniagrette salad dressing.

you can pretty much add whatever you want to this...bacon, red onion, jalapeño, black olives, etc....

Mothertrucker, sounds delish. Even if I decrease it by 2/3, I won't finish it in one day. Does this get soggy in the fridge? Love salads, but basically make when having company 'cause even w/o added dressing, the greens get yucky. Thinking the cornbread in this might solve my problem.

There are lots of salads I like to make. It's been awhile since I've had Seven Layer so that'll have to go on the menu one of these days. Tonight we're grilling burgers (it's actually got to the low 70°'s today, for the first time this year) so I'm making some Grape Salad to go along with them.
