@chickenbutt   It's good to 'see' you again, you've been missed.  Hope things are good for you.

apple crisp!!

My absolute favorite.  Not to brag....but I really like my recipe the best.  I like to combine honey crisp and Macintosh apples.  I always double the topping and add a lot of cinnamon.  My grandkids love it.

Now I think I need to make one.  I also love the smell in the house while baking.  😊

anything apple - my fav is a apple crisp and once in awhile I might "crave" something like pumpkin pie.

I always keep fuji or gala apples in my frig.  They are my go to snack...

100% of the time I have Gala apples.    I've tried some of the others that people have mentioned here over the years and always back to Gala I go!   Well I do like the Opals but they have a very short season.

I only have  couple bites a day, as the bird gets his share with his breakfast and now the dog must have some so he gets a couple of bites.  One apple lasts us 8-10 days.  How weird is that?

Every now and then I'll allow myself to eat more (apples with peanut butter anyone?  Smiley Happy) but mostly that's how it goes.

@CrazyKittyLvr2   King Arthur's Flour Nantucket Cranberry Pie/Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, with a wedge of extra sharp cheddar cheese on the side  and Indian Pudding are my favorite autumn desserts.

Do you know the source from which you originally obtained your lost apple cake recipe--newspaper, magazine, approximate year, decade you acquired it?  What kind/size of pan was used to bake it?

We have some really good sleuths on the recipes forum here that might have luck tracking it down or something close.

I do like a good apple crisp or dumpling, as well!  Also, I am a big fan of pumpkin desserts --- pumpkin donuts, cookies and bread! Pumpkin pie -- but only if topped with whipped cream!
