okaywitheasypay, Its always nice to have backup appliances. I have had times when I was really glad I had two of something.

summerwind,  I never had one , How do they work? Is there a plastic bag to catch the food , or does it go down the sewer ?

@BeccaLou, they pulverize the scraps of food, which are washed down the drain, and out to the sewer. Had one for probably 30 years, especially helpful when preparing fresh produce, before that I had to lean over a trash can. Well, didn't have to, but chose to.

 

I'm just afraid it'll be a hard habit to break, so easy to just put stuff down it.

My bare minimum is ...

Coffeemaker!

Paring knife

Chopping knife

Cutting board

Toaster

Measuring cups 

Mixing bowls

Wood spoons

Flexible spatulas

Baking sheets

Large pot/ cover 

Cast iron skillet

Small pot/cover

Non stick skillet

Oh, and oven mitts! 

 

**So, the question to myself issss ... why do I have so much more than that?... 😉!

I don't have any appliances. (coffee maker, mixer, air fryer etc.)

 

except:

 

I have a microwave, manual cheese grater, and have some measuring cups from the 99 cent store, and a couple of old pots and pans.
