What is the best French Press to get?

In a few weeks I can start having coffee. I’m interested in trying Peet’s coffee and like the idea of a French press. It’s only me so I might drink1-3 cups. Someone recommended one that is insulated but I don’t need that much coffee to keep warm. Any input is appreciated.

Mine is Bodum. It was about $30 at Target. It’s not insulated. If I need to keep coffee warm, I pour it into an insulated carafe.

I have a steel one just so it won't break, I have broke a glass one in the past.  I bought it at walmart, it was a bit pricier than the glass ones.

These two are very good. Amazon

Mueller Stainless Steel French Press Coffee Maker 20 oz, 3 Level Filtration System, No Coffee Grounds, Rust-Free, Dishwasher Safe- about $25

BAYKA French Press Coffee Tea Maker 34oz, 1 Liter Stainless Steel Insulated Coffee Press with 4 Filter Screens, Rust-Free, Dishwasher Safe, Silver - about $27

I do suggest insulated because with a French Press the grounds should steep at least 4-5 minutes prior to pouring/drinking. You also want a good Filtration to keep grounds in the pot and not in your cup/mug.

Re: What is the best French Press to get?

@Allthingsgirly67   After a long search, in 2019 I purchased a vintage style Francois and Mimi 34 oz. double wall stainless steel French Press for $34.90 listed on Amazon.

The same model today is offered for 49.95.  The same manufacturer offers a modern silhouette for $39.95, also on Amazon.

It has held up beautifully. I am a daily tea drinker and only occasionally drink coffee--usually use it to serve guests unless I need to make a large pot.  Then I use my Hamilton Beach duo.

I knew I didn't want a glass one so I wouldn't have to deal with breakage and liked the appearance of this particular model which fits my style preference better.

It is attractive enough to display on my Bakers rack along with a sugar and creamer set that sits on a little tray.

Hope this helps you.  Good luck finding one that's perfect for you.
