I did a lot of research before buying a second air fryer (after I gave my Cook's Essential to my son) and Cosori rates the best.  I've had the Cosori Pro air fryer for a couple of years and I love it.

One feature that is rarely discussed is the convenience of having a detachable basket that is separate from the drawer. Most air fryers don't have this and you have to put the metal mesh insert on the bottom and it's easy to cut your hand. It's also a lot easier to clean when you have the detachable basket. Look up Cosori Pro Gen 2 Air Fryer 5.8 qt on Amazon and you can see the pictures that show what I am talking about.

Also, Cosori has the best customer service. I did not realize that using a spray oil like Pam (that has a propellant in it) will make teflon peel. Cosori was gracious enough to send me a new basket free of charge.

I'm on my third air fryer.  A really important feature to me is ceramic coated cooking surfaces rather than traditional non-stick.  It's been my eperience traditonal nonstick peels and flakes and needs to be treated with more care than ceramic.  Ninja air fryers offer this feature.  I'm super happy with my Ninja.

The one I have now is from Instant Pot. It is a 6qt one and it has a light you can use as well as a window too. Love that thing. It doesn't have alot of bells and whistles but it does what I need it to do. Also have an air fry feature on my Ninja outdoor grill/smoker--haven't used that yet

I have a ninja grill that also air fries and bakes. It is excellent! I literally use it every single day. I highly recommend ninja.

I had the same concerns with the nonstick and also bought the Ninja because of the ceramic coating.

Re: What is the best Air Fryer

I have the Emril 360 airfryer with french doors.  It is more than an airfyer.  It is also a oven, rotisserie, dehydrater, plus a lot more.  Has a lot of cooking presets, but you can override them.  Reason I went with this is I have very little counter space and needed a new toaster oven.  Since this did everything I went with it.  Also, got a great price right around Thanksgiving last year at less than half price.

Have not used all the functions.  Do want to try to dehydrate some fruit, maybe strawberries.  Really like using the airfyer, especially in the hot weather we are having in my area. The only downside is that it does take up a lot of counter space.

Consumer Reports listed the Dash Digital Tasti Crisp Air Fryer as best that they tested...I have that one and love it ! It depends on what size you need.

I have one of the round, egg shaped fryers.  It seems big and bulky but really doesn't hold much.   I can see where a square one would be more efficient.
