This is getting to me. I wish I had a lock and lock that would fit this. My loaf is in a 9 x 5 I think. This I always make in my Temp-Tations loaf pan. It's what I have used since I got it years ago. I tried the tall L & L on it's side, but I don't want to handle (slide loaf in and out) when we want a slice. I've done that too.
How do you guys do it, short of plastic wrap or foil? That may be my only hope.

I just made bread over the weekend and store in a one gallon zip-loc storage bag and just slide the amount I want to cut on to the cutting board. I make it a lot and it always stays fresh in the bag. If you find the "miracle" container, please let me know - thanks.

I do the zip-lock thing too.

I also use a zip lock bag.

I actually had a friend give me a Tupperware container made for bread - that didn't keep it fresh either. Either use it within a day or so or freeze it.

I use one of these expandable bread boxes and it serves my needs well. Bought mine off Amazon, but I think I saw them on the King Arthur Flour site also. The vent opens in humid climates to release moisture, or closes for dryer climates to keep from getting stale.

I use the zip lock bags too, but the item shown above could be the answer.

Snickster - I, too, used ziplock bags but hated that I kept throwing them out because I allowed the bread to get moldy (never good at washing & re-using them, lol).
This gadget is also dishwasher safe, so that was a plus for me!

Yeah, zip lock bags was one of my thoughts too. I did however, cut pieces of the bread, put them in on top of each other (L&L tall sq. rectangle shape one) and I'll use that for now. Thanks ladies. Yes, that holder above does look good for this doesn't it!?

I first wrap my loaf in some waxed paper. Then slip it into a bread bag with a twist tie and leave it on the counter.
