Many years ago, there was an Italian restaurant in Chicago that I loved to go to.
A couple times, they served a dish as an appetizer. I could have made the entire trip for this. I have yet to see it anywhere again.
It was made of bread, cut up, with a type of Italian style dressing in it. There were tomatoes and maybe celery, onions, etc. in there with it.
It was sort of embarrassing that every time the waiter came around, I asked for more of it.
Does anyone know of what type of dish I am remembering???
