I am hosting a good friends bday party this weekend. Been a long time since I made lasagna - that was his request.

So it's lasagna, meatballs, sausage and nice chopped antipasto salad. I will bake him a devils food raspberry filled cake for dessert.

Other than cooking this the weather here in FL has been beautiful so salads and tuna fish has been on the menu.

Good evening everyone. Last night and today weatherman said its the coldest its been since last march. I made cinnamon raisin bread yesterday and I had a piece for this mornings breakfast. For lunch leftover steak and cheese quesadillas. Leftover chicken noodle soup for dinner anand grapes. Have a great night everyone.

DH is picking up this week's grocery order at noon. On the dinner menu this week is steak quesadillas (was on last week's menu but never had them), chili, pulled pork sandwiches and cole slaw spaghetti and meatballs and chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.

Oldest DD is due back from her trip to Puerto Rico today. She is not feeling well and thinks she has an ear infection. I will be taking her to urgent care later this afternoon.

Youngest DD's car's battery is dead so I made her an appointment to get a new one tomorrow. She can't go today as she is going to a wedding this afternoon and has a hair appointment beforehand.

I am going to get my eyebrows waxed this afternoon and while I am out I am picking up gifts for some of our needy families at our preschool.

My tooth is killing me. I have been waiting three weeks for an appointment for a root canal. I go on Tuesday to have it done.

Today is Day 1 of about an 8 or 9 day run where we have something to do everyday, including several Christmas concerts.

This afternoon we'll take a drive a couple of hours away, to attend the Point of Grace Christmas concert this evening. We've been following this CCM group since the 90's. It's nothing for us to drive a distance to our assorted concerts. There's nothing close to home.

I had planned to make ribs for DS’s visit, but decided to wait when they were unable to come. I seasoned them last night and have them in a slow oven now. DH and I will have some for lunch today. I’ll keep some for another meal tomorrow and bring leftovers to DS’s family when we see them Monday. I also made broccoli cauliflower salad that I’ll share too.
