Re: What are your TOP 5 FOOD items on QVC ?

Just remembered the crab cakes they used to sell, which I reordered a few times. They were so good, then I found out they were made from some crab that wasn't blue crab. I seem to remember a big kerfuffle about them; I really enjoyed the cakes and the older couple who presented them. Long time ago now, maybe 10+ years

I’m on auto ship for Corky’s wings, Jimmy’s cinnamon rolls, and bagels. My father loved Landie’s pretzels. I send a box to my mother for holidays. I also enjoy Endstrom’s toffee, Squirrel nuts, and Jimmy the Baker crumb cakes. My office is right across the street from Cheryl’s cookies. Often QVC has a better deal than I can get there.

@RollTide2008 , that would be too hard for me to resist if I worked across the street from Cheryl's! I love their frosted cookies.

Oh man, it's what I get for not watching the show.  I see the Enstrom's is back but, by the time I got there, the milk chocolate ones I want are on waitlist.  Smiley Sad Smiley Sad Smiley Sad

Well, since it's advance order, anyway, I went ahead and ordered a couple in hopes that I will get more of them.

Heartland Fresh Chicken Fried Chicken with pepper gravy. YUM YUM and top rated reviews to boot!!!  I just got my 24 count order in and plopped them in my freezer.

I love to cook these in olive oil, in a frying pan, and get that wonderful southern "crisp" on each side and they are wonderful with or without the gravy.  Try them, you will love them.

Do you cook them from frozen and how long in olive oil?  I tried the Heartland directions for an air fryer (390 for 15 minutes) and they were too crispy, so trying to figure out how to make them.  First time they came out great but can't remember if I used a lower temperature in the fryer.  Too hot to bake them in the oven.....so trying to figure out best way to get them cooked right.  They sure are tasty!!

I don't know if you're looking for more healthy or not, but this is how I do them -

First, I do thaw one or two out in a L&L in the refrigerator, ahead of time.   Then I just do them in a pan on the stove with a bit of butter and olive oil on medium heat.  Or, if I've cooked some sausage recently I save that bit of fat and add some butter to it.   Just takes a few minutes on each side.  Smiley Happy

Also, when I get mine, I take them from the bag and vacuum-seal them to keep in the freezer, sometimes in onesies and sometimes two in a bag, as I'll plan two meals often if I have two servings of veg or starch to go with the protein.
