Re: What am I missing? Twinkling mason jars?

It is one thing to not like something and to let us all know it is not your taste or how you choose to decorate your home. That is doesn't go with your decor and it is not your style. But it is another thing to give your opinion that it is ugly, cheap, trashy, 1940's(that one made me laugh), embarrassing(that also made me laugh),useless, oh heavens I could go on and on. Of course you are entitled to your own opinion! However, you know how we have all at one time or another walked into someones house and looked around and thought "What on earth is she thinking" or "Poor thing has no idea how awful her taste in decorating is"? You know what I mean? I know it has happened to you. WELL....think about this: Maybe people have done it walking into YOUR home. Maybe once, maybe twice, heck maybe everyone that walks through the door! I know this board is anonymous so you aren't exactly embarrassing yourself so to speak with your obnoxious comments, but in real life, I'd watch what you say. If you are one of those people that hasn't a clue...and I have a sneaking suspicion some of you may be {#emotions_dlg.lol}, your only justifying your own poor taste as well as showing your ignorance by putting other people and their taste down.

Re: What am I missing? Twinkling mason jars?

With spring coming and graduation parties, showers, weddings, cookouts etc; I just assumed they were meant to be used for entertaining. We decorate our balcony with flowers and plants, I ususally have a color story. I briefy considered them...but...we had more snow yesterday and I have 4 feet of snow on my balcony. It's too early for such thoughts.

I completely agree with happygal. I think the colors are lovely and I like the sparkly effect when turned on. However, they just don't go with my décor. I believe in the right setting they would look cute.

I thought they would be cute in my country themed camper but I also thought (like everything on QVC anymore) that they were much too expensive, so I did not buy them. However, i may attempt to make something similar when we get there this summer as the over all design had potential. maybe a red one a blue one and a white one??

Re: What am I missing? Twinkling mason jars?

My opinion is this, I have four sets of the VPH spheres in different colors in different rooms of my home. I enjoy the pretty twinkling effect. They bring happiness and joy into my life. I did not purchase the mason jars, but the pink ones tempted me. I hope those that bought them will enjoy them as I am enjoying my spheres. That's all.
