Drinking tea a few times during the day is my version of meditating...
@namaste000 Now that sounds like an interesting tea! Is it sort of sweet, fragrant?

Ginger tea, made from ginger purchased at the produce section of most stores. I wash it, cut out any blemishes and slice into thin coins. Simmer for about 1/2 hour and drain. Regrigerate and add equal amount of water. You will soon learn where your tolerance level is, too strong and it will burn. This started as a homeopathic remedy from a friend (I honestly don't believe in most of this stuff) but I loved the taste so I kept up the habit.

@skittles2 THANK YOU so much for the information about green tea. We are drinking more of it now.
So far I've liked Twinings, and they make a green and lemon one I've been happy with in particular.
I did not know about the cold water brewing, so I will have to try that since we drink a LOT of iced tea!
I'm sorry about all of your issues with health, but good for you for making the most of it and doing the things you need to do!

@Catlady Nicole wrote:I'm recently in love with Harney & Sons Paris flavor and Tower of London flavor. At night I've been enjoying Bigelow Lavender & Chamomile.
I also have been enjoying Matcha tea ever since we had it at our state fair over the summer, prepared as Lemonade Iced Matcha. I'm still trying to perfect the recipe they shared with me, but so far what I'm making is tasty.
Paris has been my favorite for years.
Black tea, oolong tea, black currant flavor, vanilla flavor, bergamot oil, caramel flavor.
But this morning I'm drinking another Harney & Sons tea that comes in a close second and sometimes ties for the number one spot: Victorian London Fog.
Black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, lavender, vanilla flavor.
As you can see, the tea is similar to Paris but instead of black currant there is lavender.
It appears you like lavender in your tea. Have you tried this one? The fragrance will win you over.
And if you enjoy a fragrant tea you might also appreciate Harney's Dragon Pearl Jasmine.
I prefer sturdy black teas, but the jasmine (green and white tea) has become a favorite. The scent is heavenly.

@depglass FIrst I must say that I love candied ginger--especially if part of it is dipped in chocolate!
As far as tea, I will try your method. I do have a green tea with ginger from Twinings (I am trying a bunch of their teas--so far so good), and I THINK one with lemon AND ginger. Can't remember (need a memory tea!

For a real treat, once in awhile I treat myself to a tin of Mariage Freres tea--from France. I only know of two reliable sources in the U.S. now--Market Hall Foods and the Cultured Cup.
They are the most natural tasting flavors in tea that I have ever tried. They are expensive, but you can get smaller bagged quantities as well as the tins from Cultured Cup, and the people there really know their teas--plus have their own blends.
It is hard to find teas sometimes that are different or single variety. Now that we have the internet there is a whole new world though! I also love to look at the selections from Upton tea.
I am in love with Harney and their beautiful tins too. Some I can't throw away!

A bought of bronchitis has left me without a voice for days and Traditional Medicinals Throat Coat tea has helped with the dryness.

@just bee you are psychic! I just tried a sample of the Victorian London Fog and loved it!! I do enjoy floral and fruity teas. I'm a big fan of bergamot. I'm going to try the Dragon Pearl Jasmine you mentioned next. I really enjoy the blends Harney offers, it makes tea drinking fun ![]()

Mine too @Mj12. I keep some in my purse because I don't like that some restaurants don't have just a plain old basic tea. It's all that fancy stuff, lol.
I do too!

I have several favorites.
Every morning starts with Tazo Zen green tea, a cup or two.
At various times during the day, I'll then have Republic of Tea's "white ginger peach" or RoT's "decaf green ginger peach" or just plain decaf green (organic) by Bigelow. I love the grassy pureness of this particular Bigelow green.
I may from time to time have RoT's herbal "elderberry flower" tea, or one of the chamomile and/or chamomile/lavender blends frrom various brands such as Celestial Seasonings.
I rarely have black tea anymore, but do like black coffee maybe once a day.
I've tried other interesting teas such as oat straw and mugwort.
