No contest... spaghetti and meatballs.  My kids come to dinner on Sunday and they'd be happy to have it every week.  I compromise and make it once a month.

Others would be fried chicken, eggplant Parmesan, stuffed cabbage and ..... wait for it....... MEATLOAF!  

They're all pretty good cooks in their own right, but when it comes to providing what they call "old school" food, they look to me to make it.

My friends and family love my lasagna. I got the recipe 40 years ago from my friends mom. She was Italian. I'll make it if we invite friends over to watch the Super Bowl.

Depending on how much salad I am making, I use 12-18 hard boiled eggs. What I told my dils is think of it as making egg salad first, then adding in the potatoes, onion, celery, pickle...yadda, yadda.

And you have to use good mayo....whatever brands that is for your neck of the woods. For sure not Miracle Whip out here. I have a sister-in-law,  who we all love, but she makes all her salads with Miracle Whip. Yeesh. But we will eat her salads, because we all love her.

yes, the mayo has to be a good one. I use either Dukes or Hellmans but preferably Dukes. The other times I use the horsey/mayo is on a roast beef sandwich.

Lately it's been potato soup, something he normally wouldn't be interested in.  In fact, I'll make a batch for dinner.

I noticed that @KingstonsMom as not been on the boards since Thanksgiving weekend.  I hope both are well.
