One of my gram's favorite dinners was to make a pork loin and a beef roast (any cut) together. Onions, garlic, sage, rosemary a touch of basil, salt and pepper....I doubt Gram used the spices but I do!

My mom use to do a 7 bone roast and was so good. I haven't seen one of those in ages. Cook it slow and plenty of liquid and come out real tender.
I remember 7 roasts. That was my favorite and I haven't seen one in decades either. My current favorite is a not too fatty chuck roast. I love beef brisket too.

I usually make mine just like yours. The only difference is I use Cabernet instead of Steak sauce and add fresh garlic. Small difference - I don't measure I just pour.
