Fresh or frozen? Split or whole? Boneless or on the bone? Skin on or off?
I thought it would be nice to collect some cooking methods so we could print out and hang on to them.
I have read some wonderful recipes and gotten suggestions over the years, and it would be nice to gather them in one place! Not to mention I have "misplaced" some!
THANKS!

You could check thechew.com. They did turkey many ways this past week.

For a small group, I just get a whole one with skin and make it in my six quart Nesco.

Never bought a fresh turkey,
I do thaw before cooking. Would never try to cook it from frozen.
We always make the breast because we don't like the dark meat.
Have made boneless & bone in. IMO bone in is better.
Skin on since I put pats of butter or herb butter under the skin to keep it moist plus I always rub it down with olive oil before sprinkling with seasonings. I don't always use the same.
DH has cooked it on the grill with drip pan under & coals on each side of the drip pan.
He has also smoked them on an offset smoker & Masterbuilt smoker.
He has deep fried them.
Have also made them in the Nesco with the roast air fan.
I have also made in the Air Fryer
I have never made one in the oven.
I always use thermometer so it's not dry.
I like them made on the grill or in the Nesco best.

The Helen Corbett way...
essentially
Brown it at 450 until golden
then baste and cook on 325 until the leg wiggles

Fresh is always best of course.
Earlier this year I did a turkey breast and I just did it exactly like I do a whole turkey - brine overnight, dry rub, then roast normally. It was very good.
Since I cannot do Thanksgiving this year, I really will miss the turkey. Maybe some time next year I can get another turkey breast or do a whole one, but probably not a whole one now that I think about it. Won't be too strong for a long time.

Pretty much the same way I would cook a turkey. This year, I bought a 6 lb frozen turkey breast because it's a small group and my daughter is bringing a ham. After thawing, the turkey breast
Preheat oven to 375
Coat turkey breast with olive oil, rub inside with butter
Sprinkle desired herbs on top (I like olive powder, onion powder and some thyme)
Roast for 2 to 21/2 hours

DH & I have been reborn again ever since we got the Masterbuilt Butterball Indoor XXL Turkey Electric Fryer. I can honestly say if we fried shoe leather in that thing, it would come out awesome, lol.

I always do mine in my old Ron Popeil rotisserie, beautiful browning.

Fresh, skin on, whole, I use a rack and I cook it similar to a whole turkey I learned a lot by watching the Chew this week
