Re: What Is Best Tasting Black Tea

If you prefer to continue purchasing at a market, then I'd recommend Twinnings English Breakfast Tea.

I order my tea in bulk from Upton and just received English Breakfast, Darjeeling and Black Apricot Decaf. Their teas are terrific, as is their customer service. Nothing tastes like cardboard.

p.s. The last time I was in Great Britain, I brought home some magnificant teas and was so sad when they were gone.

I really love McCormick tea. It is difficult to find, so I stock up when I find some. Amazon has it sometimes. I am a tea drinker and it's the best I've ever tasted.

I just tried some tea samples I got in my Birchbox . OMG! It is Ahmad brand.I tried the apricot black tea and the English no.1 .This tea is so smooth and flavorful. I have 2more to try...both green teas. But I have ordered some of the teas from birchbox while I get free shipping and cannot wait to get them.

I'm a Twinings fan, too. As a child, I always had Tetley tea but I agree with the poster about its not being the same. I've found that Twinings Ceylon Orange Pekoe and English Breakfast, both medium-bodied, are perfectly reminiscent of the Tetley I used to enjoy.

As an homage to Tetley, I store the bags in an old Tetley tin.

Re: What Is Best Tasting Black Tea

I changed from a HUGE coffee addict to a delighted tea drinker. My favs are: Bigelow's Earl Grey and Starbuck's TAZO Awake and their Breakfast blend. (I find that Starbuck's brand of the TAZO brand is more robust than the TAZO brand I buy from Wegman's. Two tea bags of Starbuck's AWAKE (as they serve in their stores) zaps me with more energy than any cup of coffee ever did.

if i am buying their loose tea i like mixing the darjeeling and the early gray together to make my own blend. i also like the english tea #1 and the breakfast tea. my s/o is also a fan of the cardamon tea.

they have a product finder on their website if you want to buy it in a store close by OR you can find many of them on amazon.

happy drinking. Smile

Re: What Is Best Tasting Black Tea

I used to buy Red Rose all the time, haven't used it in a couple of years. It was the kind my granny used to buy. That's too bad if they changed it.

I love Tazo but Bigelow is really nice too. If you have a Giant Eagle, their specialty brand is good (it used to be called Market District but they have it under their or another name, it is a box of 20).
