@SandySparkles  Thank you Smiley Happy! My little chicken timers always make me smile- especially the one with minute and second blue eye buttons Smiley Very Happy.  The white chocolate lindt truffles are so delicious- and sometimes around Valentine's Day I can even find Neopolitan flavored Lindt truffles at Walgreens- white chocolate, milk chocolate and strawberry all in one truffle.  I love the classic milk and dark chocolate truffles too- so rich and fancy tasting!

@SportyShorty07 Welcome back!🥰 We are SO bad and are going to have to start a support group; Lindt LindorTruffle Lovers United!😂😂😂😂 They are so good and decadent that you can only eat a few, but they are so enjoyable!😁

THANK you SO much for caring to revisit and share!🤗

@SandySparkles  I'll get some folding chairs in a circle for our Lindt Truffle support group! I'll show up to the Lindt support meetings, but I do not need help and I do not want to get better Smiley WinkSmiley LOL.  Oooh those Lindt truffles are so addictive- I always laugh at the commercials where a girl sits on her couch and takes the tiniest little bite of those.  Who eats Lindt truffles that way!? I put 2 to 3 of those in my mouth like a Hungry Hippos board game! Bring on the truffles, Sandy Sparkles! Smiley LOL

Re: What Is (Are) Your BEST Kitchen / Cooking TIPS Or Tricks?

@SandySparkles - I use the terra cotta disc too! It's special because a respected and long-retired pastor's wife gave it to me when I visited them. She just came out of the kitchen with it when her husband and I were talking. I think someone had given it to her and she already had one. I had never heard of it, but every time I use my brown sugar I think of them, both gone now.

One of my favorite tips:

Reheating pizza in a pan on the stove -  A while ago I read an article from a chef about this. I've used it ever since. You heat a skillet on medium heat then put the slice(s) in. After about a minute check the bottom to make sure it's not getting too brown. Put about 1-2 Tbsp.of water on the side of the pan away from the pizza, turn the heat to low, and cover the pan. When the water evaporates in about 1-2 minutes, your reheated pizza should be perfect.

I've actually started using this to reheat burgers and sandwiches too. They always turn out so well!   Smiley Happy

Don't know if this counts..

I'm short..when mixing ingredients or using a hand mixer..I put the bowl in my kitchen sink..It is lower than my counters..So the height of the sink works great and it catches any splatters.

Re: What Is (Are) Your BEST Kitchen / Cooking TIPS Or Tricks?

@SportyShorty07   I get these every year, but.....I did see all the ship dates now, only $3 more, so maybe still reward yourself!  I honestly forgot to do auto delivery for the spring.  So I might be getting another set.  Still a good value if you have need for 150.  I give them out as small treats to others or add on gifts.  My SO could eat the whole box, but he is now diabetic, so he is limited to MAYBE a few.  🤣🤣.  I might have to hide the box when it comes.

I use parchment paper, I don't like to use the nonstick spray.  And it makes clean up better.
@Mz iMac  I'm going to use the salt or oil when making hard boiled eggs!   What a great idea!

@SportyShorty07  Love your reward idea💕. I would give myself many rewards!😂

@mz iMac.   I'm also going to try this, but another friend gave me an easy way also that works.  Put your egg in a small jar with a little water, shake a few moments and the eggs will peel so easily.  Your idea sound easier though!  I know some here use their pressure cooker for the same easy release.

@Mz iMac  Thanks for the tip about adding salt to the water when boiling eggs.  I tried it this morning and it worked like a charm!  I don't know how this trick could have escaped me for all these years!

Re: What Is (Are) Your BEST Kitchen / Cooking TIPS Or Tricks?

I see mention of Amazon show--I am not quite familar with that.We do have Alexas in most of the rooms. I think that is my favorite kitchen item. I use it a lot as a timer. If my hands are messy -- I just put in a request to her then wash up. Also when doing the inevitable mundane tasks of KP I can listen to the music , podcast I wish or continue with an Audible  book.

I also feel Lock & Lock products are a tremendous aid in the kitchen. I especially love the glass and tritan dishes with vented lids. They keep you from switching from one type of dish to another-- saving clean up.

As other posters ,I too love parchament paper. I learned several years ago to crunch it up then smooth it out for use. Until I read that hint somewhere I found it frustrating.

@lynnie61 That's so nice that you give out Lindt truffles as small treats or add on gifts Heart! I can definitely relate to your husband being able to eat a whole box- when I bought the Lindt TSV a few years ago, I think I ate 10 truffles in a day! Smiley LOL.  Hide the box in your closet and hand out one or two once in a while as a sweet surprise for your SO Smiley Very HappyHeart

I just purchased the October 21st ship date since October is my birthday month- it'll be a birthday gift to myself that I'll share with my family Smiley Very HappyHeart.  I'm so glad that I didn't miss out on the Lindt truffles 150 pack and thank you for the tip that at $3 more, its still a fantastic deal Smiley Happy. I'm excited for my upcoming Lindt chore reward treats Smiley Very Happy

Re: What Is (Are) Your BEST Kitchen / Cooking TIPS Or Tricks?

@SandySparkles   Although I still use paper towels, I really LOVE microfiber cloths.  I get colorful packages and just color code for room.  Bathroom/kitchen/garage/misc.  Use them a day and toss in the wash.  Doing towels anyways........

My favorite gadget though is a pull and chop for small jobs.  Onions and peppers in a minute and no tears!  Love that gadget under $15.
