@ECBG I can honestly say,I've never had biscuits and gravy before.i know it couldn't be that hard to make,so maybe I'll try this weekend.im not a bacon fan,but like sausage links with pancakes

Be sure to use plain flour so the gravy won't bubble up on you.  You might want to watch a video to get the tips and tricks.

Sounds really good. In the Dolomites, I got figs.  lol

@Malcontent

Yum!  I grew up with fig trees in the backyard.  Besides eating them right off the tree, my favorite was my grandmother's homemade fig ice cream.  How I'd love to eat that again.

Fig ice cream is a thing? I’m for it!

Bless your grandmother. What an innovative woman.

I have to ask, do you happen to know the recipe?

I wish I had paid more attention to the recipe, but she died when I was in my 20s - a loooong time ago. But I do remember her method.

Grandma had a way of making ice cream without an ice cream freezer that was pretty labor intensive.  Poured her liquid (evaporated milk, sugar, vanilla, ?????) into old time metal ice cream trays with the dividers taken out.  Let it freeze, scraped it out into a bowl, then did lots of hand beating to whip air and lightness into it.  She did this more than once and let it refreeze each time.  Then added mashed figs to the final whipping and let it freeze a final time.  Tasted delicious.

Hash Browns, in any form (alone or in a casserole)

Grits

Traditional biscuits & gravy

Traditonal pancakes, waffles, French toast

Some of these have been eliminated altogether and some I have alternative recipes for
