Thanks, @beach-mom. This is a combination I never would have thought of.  I like the idea of pistachio and walnuts together. Do you think it would work with whipped cream, or is it one of those things that really require CoolWhip?

My favorite is Thanksgiving.  We've never had cranberry sauce, gravy or anything with sweet potatoes.  I'm a Hoosier and our state food is Mashed Potatoes and Noodles so that's what we've always had with our turkey.  I like dressing but so few in our family do that it's not made anymore either.

Love everything about Thanksgiving. Turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole (had to develop a taste for this & only eat a little), cranberries, pumpkin pie! I do go overboard on anything cranberry. In addition to canned sauce & relish made with pineapple tidbits, I bake cranberry nut bread, muffins & upside down cake. Great topic! Love everyone's ideas & menus!

Our Thanksgivng and Christmas dinners usually look a lot the same. I enjoy turkey or ham, my favorite is dressing with some chicken cooked in it. Love dressing.

And homemade Christmas candy. Any and all of it! My mother in law usually has a large platter of assorted candies she has made. They are absolutely delicious.
