Today I allowed as how we might just have fried chicken for Thanksgiving! I haven't had that in almost 10 years. So that might work!
What about you? Anything off the charts you would be happy with? Chili dogs for New Year's Eve?
Candy bars and popcorn for a meal?
What's calling your name!

All of yours.

I've been thinking about making stuffed portobello mushrooms for Thanksgiving...

What outlandish, crazy thing would I like for holiday dinner?
A man in the kitchen making it for me! 😙
I had a friend back home whose husband had served KP (kitchen) duty in the military. He would always shop and cook their holiday meals.

I would like to have somebody else cook it! Not going to happen.

I could eat some real old fashioned Caesar Salad (made with raw egg & whole anchovies) and made in a big old wooden bowl. Then for the main course Surf&Turf.
PS: I dont eat the anchovies they just flavor the salad.

@Sooner I'll take fried chicken over turkey ANY day of the week. Once in a while when I shop at Safeway I will pick up a piece of fried chicken from the deli.

Our TG is traditionally a TV dinner. Years ago I was in a wheel chair and could not do much. Mom came for dinner and we had TV dinners and bought pies. She told us it was the best TG dinner ever, so we keep up the tradition and remember Mom. I don't eat turkey (vegetarian) hubbs enjoys his dinner. This year I think we will get a Bundt cake at that place that sells them(really delicious).

Steamed crab legs and wedge of iceberg lettuce with blue cheese and bacon. Butterscotch pie for dessert.

If the sky is the limit, I'll say lobster tails and crab legs. We haven't had either in ages...
We actually have been thinking about it though...maybe next holiday season.
We're having prime rib roast for Thanksgiving & Christmas, Christmas eve will be a turkey breast and New Year's eve/day will be shrimp & sea scallops w/garlic butter...
