You have to put them on the cookie sheet close together so they kinda bake into one slightly underbaked warm yummy-ness.

Oh my......

@GingerHead Now that just got my attention!!!!  How about some Heath Bar chips in the cookies too and maybe some sea salt caramel ice cream?  My current flavor favorite is caramel for some reason. . .

Are you flirting with me right now? Haha...you do know I'm married don't you!Woman LOL

Yes, to all of that but only if you add caramel sauce over the top....

@GingerHead Woman LOL  No, I seem to be in a relationship with Salted Caramel Yasso bars now.  But I am cheating with the strawberry ones sometimes!

Re: What Crazy Thing Would You Like for a Holiday Meal?

My family and friends think I'm crazy because I typically have some combo of fresh shrimp, scallops and stone crab for Thanksgiving dinner, so I'll stick with that.

I don't like and won't eat the vast majority of the traditional Thanksgiing dinner, no matter how much some tries the "but you haven't had green bean casserole the way I make it and it will hurt my feelings if you don't eat it" nonsense. Think about it - if it were truly that great of a meal, why do we only eat it once a year?

i'm also not in to the "sport eating" event that holiday meals seem to be. Just normal sized portions/meals and regular meal times are my preference. That, too, seems to be "crazy" to a number of people in my circle.

@kze Sesame, oil, ginger type dressing intrigues me.  I've bought one of those prepared dinners from Publix and it comes with a cabbage salad mix and Ken's Pan Asian dressing.  I love the dressing, but it's not sold in grocery stores as a stand alone.

@cindyNC

The only time I had it was when a friend brought it to a Thanksgiving dinner.  She made it from scratch but I'm sure she got the recipe somewhere.   I never saw it in a store.

[ Edited ]

We're pretty traditional when it comes to holiday family dinners so I can't think of anything I'd change.  I do all of the cooking and make traditional and low carb/keto versions of some things. My alternative to Strawberry Pretzel Jello is always a hit with everyone so I make two pans of that. Same for my keto cheesecake.

NYE isn't as set in stone.  I could be happy with many options:

Bacon Cheeseburgers

Pulled Pork

Prime Rib

Low Carb Chili & Toppings

Shish Kebobs

Re: What Crazy Thing Would You Like for a Holiday Meal?

Since I can no longer have my Mom's wonderful turkey dinner and all the sides she used to make, I just don't even care if I have turkey any more.  I would rather just have something like spaghetti or steak.  DH still loves turyky but we may just get it from takeout this year since neither of us is up to preparing a big meal.
