I grew up in the country and my aunt & uncle had milk cows. My aunt used to make homemade butter and homemade buttermilk... I loved that buttermilk and it was especially good really cold with a piece of homemade coconut cake... Boy that was some good eating...

My homemade tomato sauce over mashed potatoes, usually with chicken parmesan. My mother used to do this also.

From your local liquor store. You can find it in the margarita salt section.
@Mz iMac,I would imagine it's like rock candy used to be when I was little.
@LIndaMJ,More than likely today, they'd be sparcely located in a gift shop or a candy shop. The sugar crystals form on the stick. The height of the candy shoes how deep the stick was submurged in the sugar solution.

@OKPrincess, we must be in the same ag group - my cousins and I all used to snack on mayo sandwiches with wonder bread!
But, my fave was my mother's homemade bread and butter pickle sandwiches! We used to have a huge garden and lived off it pretty much year round. Have never been able to duplicate the taste of those bread and butters!
Was it mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?

Coke (not pepsi
) in the bottle (important, according to him) with several salted fresh roasted peanuts dropped inside the bottle. Drink up!
The salt & the sweet, plus the added fizz -- delicious!!
@Caaareful Shopper~ I used to be guilty of this many, many years ago, loved
the taste! I've long since given up all soda.
@ECBG~ Love to dip popcorn in melted nacho cheese!

@LIG1,My dad used to do that when I was young. He rarely drank a bottled drink but you brought back some cherished moments. Thank you!![]()
