@MalteseMomma Our mothers "invented" many of the same things
:! However, whatever the "invented" goody was it was unique to our moms - 'cause our mom's always tasted the best!![]()

I actually just fry the Spam nice and brown, put it on my plate and cover with syrup. I occasionally eat it with a waffle or French toast.

This may be more common than I realize, but I only ever saw my beloved father do it:
Coke (not pepsi
) in the bottle (important, according to him) with several salted fresh roasted peanuts dropped inside the bottle. Drink up!
The salt & the sweet, plus the added fizz -- delicious!!

@RedTop, same difference - mine has to be done in a non-stick pan 'cause the syru gets really sticky, but good! I often like it with plain cooked basmati rice. Getting hungry now!

I used to eat Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches with Pickles, I can no longer eat Pickles so just plain Peanut Butter & jelly now!
Boy, I have seem some unusual combinations in this thread, baby carrots and PB, might have to try that one, I love Peanut Butter!

I used to put peanuts in my coke too. Was delish and fizzy.

In my 20’s, I loved my hot dogs with mustard, onions, chili and dill pickle slices.

From your local liquor store. You can find it in the margarita salt section. ![]()

You and I have had this discussion before for our love of this. I went so far a couple of years ago and sent a letter to Blue Bell Pres/CEO to make this as a new flavor. Told him I love to crush Chex Sweet N Salty mix on my ice cream too @Citrine1 But Fritos is my favorite topping.

@DiAnneBut I use Velveet not sharp cheddar, or cheddar.
