Blackeyed peas with ham, simmering in the crockpot.  I will serve with Krusteaz honey cornbread.  Happy New Year!!!

@Winifred Pork chops and sauerkraut in the oven and getting ready to mash potatoes. Will saute green beans as another side. We froze our sauerkraut after we made it this year. I'm anxious to taste the results.

good evening everyone and happy new year to all of you and glad to see alot of you this new years day. welcome everyone. we went to my brothers house yestauday and when we got into car it wouldnt start. were like you got to be kidding me. so after we called aaa and they came in under an hour and 163 dollars we had a new battery and we went. they had picky stuff first then we ordered chinese food.  it was super good. and yes auntg chinese is very popular on new years eve and i think new years day. my mil cooked today. italian people allways make lentils. its there good luck food. and she made a lasagna, a ham, rabbi,baked sweet and yukon gold potatoes, salad,then fruit and nuts and chocolate. hope everyone has a great night and a happy new years.

We’re starting out the new year with a pot of pinto and great northern beans seasoned with ham, cornbread, pigs in the blanket, and lettuce and onions.
