We have a cousin in Florida who sends us Honeybells each year...

... and generally they are pretty good.  However, this year they are about a third of their regular size (they are smaller than a tennis ball).  What's up with that?  Going to try one after supper, but don't have high hopes for them.  They just arrived today.  I'm guessing this is Honeybell season?

@faeriemoon It could be the hurricanes. They hurt the crops big time.

Our lemon tree fell prey to bad spring weather. Excess rain ruined the normally large crop of big lemons. Hope next year is better.

I'm very interested in your review @StylishLady

I was considering sending them to my inlaws.

I'd hate to be embarrassed.

Perhaps they are Sugarbelles, a cross of Honeybells and clementines.

My parents used to have a condo in Vero Beach, FL. There was a local orchard nearby that I'd always get my honeybells from. They were always so delicious. It was just a mom and pop place. But the last few times I ordered from them their quality had really gone down. I now don't order honeybells anymore. I sure miss those January delicacies!

Just went and checked the box; they are Honeybells.  Thanks for the info though; I haven't heard of Sugarbelles.

Has anyone thought about Honeybell being half grapefruit? As grapefruit are something that is bad to eat if you are on a colesterol pill. Are they safe to eat if you take a colesterol pill ?
